Professional Profile
I am a practising lawyer by profession, a member of the Sierra Leone Bar Association, the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN), the Society for Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the Scottish Oil Club, a lecturer of corporate law as well as an International Human Rights advocate and Public Defender.
I hold an LLM distinction degree in Petroleum Law and Policy from the University of Dundee, Scotland and an LLM degree in International Human Rights Law from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. I have been certified as Distinguished Honorary Fellow by the Dean of Law, Kabarak University School of Law, Kenya.
I currently serve as the CEO and founder of Christian Lawyers Centre (LEGAL LINK), legal advisor for both Prison Watch Sierra Leone and Every Child Matters Sierra Leone. I provide consultancy services to the Petroleum Directorate Office, Ministry of Energy, and National Minerals Agency on petroleum rights, production sharing contracts, energy regulation reviews, and policy reforms.
My strength lies in helping organisations design effective project proposals and action plans for policy reforms, drafting and reviewing contractual agreements, and undertaking research to ensure greater impacts to targeted groups. I have worked with NGOs and international agencies to strategically plan, develop and strengthen their systems for effective implementation and organisational growth.
